Bank sells 121 properties at today’s online auction 

THE Government Housing Bank’s hour-long online property auction from noon to 1 p.m. today (May 21) successfully sold 121 properties for a total of 135 million baht, Matichon newspaper said.

Mr. Chatchai Sirilai, the bank’s managing director, said the auction, entitled “Find the Home you Desire – Reductions over the Spread of Covid-19″,  took place via the bank’s application GH Bank Smart NPA with 49 of the assets being in Bangkok and neighbouring provinces and 72 in the provinces.

Fetching the highest price was a two-storey detached house on a 1,824-square-wah plot of land in Laem Sing district, Chanthaburi province, that went for 6,115,000 baht. 

Sold at the lowest price of 200,000 baht was a ​​229-square-wah land plot in Suan Chom Doi project, Mae Tha district, Lampang province. 

Meanwhile a 204-square-wah land plot in Nong Nok Karian orchard project, Chom Bueng district, Ratchaburi province, attracted the most bidders with 16 competing for it and it was finally sold for 237,000 baht from the starting price of 82,000 baht.

This bank is offering an additional 10% discount to those auction winners who sign a purchase contract by July 31, 2021. 

They also have the option of either paying down payment in installment over 48 months at 0% interest rate or paying the down payment and moving in right away and enjoying 0% interest on their mortgage for 12 to 48 months but this is conditional upon the bank’s holding period.
