THE majority of Bangkokians do not seem bothered about attending a concert in a known haunted place to go by the large crowd that showed up at Tio Chew Association park, aka Wat Don cemetery, in Sathorn to attend this afternoon’s event (June 26), INN News said.
Performing at the park-cum-cemetery from 4 p.m. onwards are PGVIM Percussion Ensemble, PGVIM Symphonic Band and a band from Princess Galyani Vadhana Institute of Music with this event having been organised by Ajarn Sukree Charoensuk Foundation.
However, while Bangkok Governor Chadchart Sittipunt will be attending the concert as previously confirmed, he was delayed by the supervision of the large fire at Sampeng market.
The atmosphere was very lively with some people showing up early afternoon to get the best spots and among them are those who even brought their own chairs along to sit and attend the show in comfort. But the majority just sat on the ground to do so.
Although the government lifted the face mask mandate on Friday, with only the vulnerable and those infected having to continue wearing them in public, most of the participants still had them on.
