Chadchart invites public to watch movies in the open air throughout July

 

BANGKOK Governor Chadchart Sittipunt unveiled a film festival for Bangkokians to enjoy throughout the month of July under the title “Movies in the Open Air,” Sanook.com said today (June 30).

Organised together with Deputy Bangkok Governor Sanon Wangsangboon and network partners the intention is to bring smiles and happiness to the residents with this being continuation of concerts in the park held over recent weekends.

Altogether 25 movies are being screened at 10 locations in the capital over four weekends. These are a mixed bag of new and some very old films.

Another goal is to revitalise Bangkok and support the capital as a place for location shooting in future.

The 25 films being screened in the open air are as follows:

FIRST WEEKEND

July 7, 2022

Thai movie: Dang Bireley’s and Young Gangsters (1997) at Lan Khon Mueang Town Square, Phra Nakhon district;

Thai movie: Bangkok Traffic Love Story (2009) at True Digital Park, Phra Khanong district.

July 8, 2022

Thai Movie: Time in a Glass Bottle (1991) at Lan Khon Mueang Town Square, Phra Nakhon district;

French movie: 36 (2012) at True Digital Park, Phra Khanong district.

July 9, 2022

Thai movie: Black Silk (1961) at Lan Khon Mueang Town Square, Phra Nakhon district;

Thai movie: Mae Nak Phra Khanong (Movie about Thailand’s most famous ghost) (1959) at True Digital Park, Phra Khanong district.

SECOND WEEKEND

July 14, 2022

Indian movie: RRR (2019) at Khlong Toei Youth Centre, Khlong Toei district;

Thai movie: 4Kings (2021) at Suan Rot Fai, Chatuchak district.

July 15, 2022

Thai movie: Transistor Love Story (2001) at Khlong Toei Youth Centre, Khlong Toei district;

English movie: Portrait of a Lady on Fire (2019) at Suan Rot Fai, Chatuchak district.

July 16, 2022

Thai movie: Boonchu Poo Narak (Cute Boonchu) (1988) at Khlong Toei Youth Centre, Khlong Toei district;

Thai movie: One for the Road (drama) (2018) at Suan Rot Fai, Chatuchak district.

THIRD WEEKEND

July 21, 2022

July 22, 2022

July 23, 2022

Japanese movie: Wheel of Fortune and Fantasy (2018) at Benjakitti park, Khlong Toei district;
