Big rush to attend tonight’s Full Moon Party at Koh Phangan

 

KOH SAMUI airport was bustling today (July 15) with both Thai and foreign tourists flying in to attend tonight’s Full Moon Party at Koh Phangan with all Bangkok Airways flights landing there filled to capacity, Naewna newspaper said.

The tourists were mainly youths or family groups who took the opportunity of the long holiday to enjoy themselves at Koh Phangan’s famous Full Moon Party held at Haad Rin beach.

Lomprayah Speed ​​Boat Co., Ltd.’s wharf at Surat Thani’s Donsak pier was also full of tourists waiting to board a ferry to Koh Phangan for the party.

Mr. Korn Piankoh, an executive of this company, said tourism is again bustling at Koh Samui, Koh Phangan and Koh Tao after the government relaxed entry regulations from the first of this month. Lots of tourists are currently flocking in because July and August are this tourist destination’s high season.

The Full Moon Party is a major draw with 10,000 tourists going to Koh Phangan to enjoy themselves and this has boosted income for hoteliers, restaurateurs and shopkeepers.

He added that his company continues to uphold Covid preventive measures on its ferries with all travellers also having to wear a life jacket and urged to follow the crew’s instructions.
