Chadchart hits back at critic attacking charity show

BANGKOK Governor Chadchart Sittipunt slammed Mr. Srisuwan Chanya for posting photos of him modelling and criticising him for not paying attention to floods and traffic jams pointing out that it was a charity event for the disabled and he was not paid anything, INN News and Sanook.com said today (August 29).

Chadchart even thanked Srisuwan for drawing attention to this event because it helped attract public attention.

He explained that he modelled for the visually impaired to increase equality because this is a liveable city and everyone must be treated equally regardless of whether they have vision, hearing or intellectual impairment.

Bangkok Metropolitan Administration has to take care of them because no one else could do so as well as the city administrators with this being their direct duty.

Chadchart also mentioned that he was modelling with people who are visually impaired and if Srisuwan had realised this he would not have posted his criticism.

That he was helping the other model was because she cannot see and could have fallen.

Bangkok’s governor denied being paid for modelling, saying he knew his duties and this was a charity show.

He also said he did not get discouraged with people finding fault and in fact if there were grounds for their criticism he would try to improve himself.
