Covid jab service shifting from Bang Sue station to Dermatology Institute

ALTHOUGH the Covid vaccination service at Bang Sue Grand Station is ending on Friday Sept. 30 it will be continuing at the Institute of Dermatology near the Victory Monument from Saturday Oct. 1 onwards, Amarin TV said today (Sept. 27).

The Central Vaccination Centre (CVC) said on its Facebook page that this service will be available free of charge at the institution’s 20th floor from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m three Saturdays next month, Oct. 1, 8, and 29. It is not available on Oct. 15 and 22 because they are public holidays.

The service is available for both Thais and foreigners from five years of age upwards both in the form of pre-booking and walk-in. Bookings can be made at https://covid19.iod.go.th/vaccine

Currently available are Pfizer monovalent maroon cap and Pfizer monovalent orange cap vaccines.

CVC also stated the following:

– At present there is a tendency for the overall Covid pandemic situation to improve with Thailand too following this trend. There are fewer new cases while fatalities have reduced with Thailand having downgraded Covid from a dangerous communicable disease to a contagious disease from Oct. 1, 2022 onwards.

– Although the overall number of people vaccinated is in keeping with the Public Health Ministry’s target, those in the 608 group comprising the elderly over sixty years age, those suffering from chronic diseases and young children, still need the jabs

– The communicable disease committee of each province will now arrange for vaccination to take place free of charge and on a voluntary basis at hospitals they have arranged. Those interested should contact the nearest service centre.
